Alice Evangeline “Vang” Skelton, 94, of Oakland City, IN passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2006 3:50 P.M. at The Waters in Princeton, IN.

She was born on March 10, 1912 in Gibson County to James Peter and Minnie (Raibourn) Hopkins.

She was a cook for many years at the Johnson Restaurant in Oakland City, member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church and missionary society.  She was an avid bowler, gardener and enjoyed craftwork.

She is survived by daughters: Donna and husband Sam Kell of Oakland, IN, Billie and husband James Moore of Dade City, FL; sisters, Ethel Keneipp of Oakland City, IN, Geneva Booker of Princeton, IN, Mary Jane Black of Princeton, IN; brother, James Raibourn Hopkins of Francisco, IN; grandchildren, Merle James Moore Jr., William Larry Moore, Eric Moore, Kerry Moore, Kirt Moore, Carl Kell, Elaine Kell-Young, Ellen Kell-Martin, Chad A. Kell; 20 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday April 30, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, burial in Forsythe Cemetery near Oakland City, IN, with Rev: Kenneth Moyes and Rev:Larry Stephenson officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday and from 8:00 A.M until services on Sunday at the chapel.
