Betty Jean Skinner, 74, of Oakland City, IN passed away on Friday October 28, 2005 at 11:20 A.M. in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born on June 25, 1931 in Petersburg, IN to Tillman and Maydee Berry who preceded her in death along with a brother Robert Lee Berry.

Betty enjoyed her little dogs “Codie” and “Hollie”.  She also had many hobbies: cooking, quilting, and collection of Longaberger baskets, many artistic crafting projects, decorating.  She was a member of Oakland City Chapter of Eastern Star.  She also was a paralegal for several judges an attorneys in Kankakee, Ill.

She is survived by her beloved husband Richard Skinner; daughter, Kathy Zajc-Brault and husband Robert of Bourbonnais, IL; son Jeff Skinner of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, David and wife Aimee Zajc of Villa Park, IL, Kelsey Zajc of Bourbonnais, IL; sister, Barbara Berry-Nicholson of Marietta GA.

Funeral services will be Tuesday November 1, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, Rev. Wayne Rowland officiating, with burial in Spurgeon Cemetery in Spurgeon, IN.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:30 P.M. Monday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Tuesday at the Chapel.  Oakland City Chapter of Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service on Monday evening at 7:00 P.M.
