Dick Smith, 73, of Princeton, passed away Dec. 22, 2008 at home. 

Born May 29, 1935 in Owensville, he was the son of Willis Frank and Beulah Fay (Anderson) Smith. 

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Gibson County Highway Dept. and was a coal miner.  He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and resided in Princeton since 1977.

 Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Smith of Oro Grande Calif.; four sons; one daughter all of California; sisters, Lois Anderson and Vivian Wright of Owensville, Mary Ann Young of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Heber Smith; and sister, Norma Smith.

 There will be no visitation or services. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
