Adele R. Wallace, 75, of Elberfeld, IN entered rest on Tuesday December 23, 2008 at 1:50 P.M. at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

 

She was born on November 27, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Ruth( Lawn) Greensmith.

 

She graduated from Erasmus High School in Brooklyn N.Y. in 1951 and Brooklyn Hair Academy in 1952.  She worked at N.Y. Bell as telephone operator and Sales Clerk at Sears and A&S in New York.  And, she was employed at Good Samaritan Nursing Home for 31 years as nurse’s aide.

 

She was a devoted member of McCullough Grove Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Joyce and stepson Bob.

 

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert Wallace; sons, Richard Wallace of Newburgh, IN, Michael Quinones of Bronx. NY, Jim Wallace of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Karen Wallace of Petersburg, IN, Susan Riley and Diane Butler of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Michael, Chris Zach (Pedro) Marcus, Bob, Stacey, Kelsey, Rachel, Shanel. DaMarie. great-grandson, Dillon; sister, Judy Greensmith of Burlington, Vermont.

 

Funeral service will be Saturday December 27, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at McCullough Grove Baptist Church in Oakland City, with burial in Owensville Cemetery in Owensville, IN, Rev. Kenneth S. Thomas will be officiating.

 

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel and from 11:00A.M until services Saturday at the Church.
