Bernard Roland Woolsey, 78, of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Tuesday October 14, 2008, at 12:27 A.M. at his home surrounded by his family.

 

He was born on October 1, 1930 in Winslow, IN, to Edward and Golden (Stinson) Woolsey.

 

He graduated from Oakland City High School in 1950 and served in United States Air Force during Korean Conflict.  He was employed at Whirlpool, Potter and Brumfield and was retired from Siemens after 37 1/2 years.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; also Edward Clyde Woolsey, Enita Woolsey, Marie Woolsey, Marjorie Woolsey, James T. Woolsey, Kenneth A. Woolsey, Edith McGillem, Gail D. Woolsey and George Woolsey.

 

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Zella May (Young) Woolsey; daughters, Allison Jackson of Evansville, IN, Alana and husband Robert Martin of Oakland City, IN; grandchildren, Aaron Jackson, Brittany Jackson, Christina ( Bruce) Marshall, Arielle (Kent) Miller, Benjamin Martin; great-grandchildren, Bailey Wilson, Aaron Jackson II, Carter Jet Miller and Sage Noelle Miller; sisters, Doris Church and Eula Riley both of Oakland City, IN.

 

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery, Rev. Bill L. Reed officiating.

 

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Saturday at Chapel.
