Elizabeth “Babe” Banet, age 90, passed away Thursday November 22, 2007 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

 

Elizabeth was born October 3, 1917 to Jess and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Heubner. She was a life long resident of Princeton

Babe was a homemaker, a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Princeton and the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the VFW Post 1147 Ladies Auxiliary and she was an avid bridge player. 

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Richard, Princeton and three daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and Joe Heldt of Columbus, IN, Mary Pendergrass of Scottsburg, IN, Julie and Phil Parr of Jasper, IN, one son and daughter-in-law Steve and Sandy Banet of Canton, GA and a brother Edward Heubner of Newburg, IN, nine grandchildren and their spouses; Cathy (Bob) Goode, Patty (Steve) Surface, Tom (Jodi) Heldt, Andrea Hall, Shannon McGarrah, Katie McGarrah, Marc (Jessica) Parr, Shayna Banet and Sawyer Banet, seven great-grandchildren; Madison and Kennedy Surface, Hannah and Haley Heldt, Siddha and Soloman Hall. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Henry Heubner and sister Ruth Godwin, and a great grandson Trey Jones 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday November 26, 2007 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow in the
St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home where members of the parish will recite a Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday.
