Phyllis Sue Beard, 75 of Princeton, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

She was born in Francisco, IN on August 24, 1932 to Grant & Lena (O'Dell) Beasley who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Ezra & Marjorie McIntyre. 

She was the secretary for the Patoka Township Assessor for 48 years. She also was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton. 

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe Beard of Princeton; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Kristi Beard of Jupiter, FL. and Dan & Pam Beard of Princeton; grandchildren, Jeff (Teresa) Beard and Leigha Beard and her fiancé, Phil Reinbrecht; half-brother, Harold Beasley of Francisco; nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. John Stepp officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home.
