Elmer Besing, 78, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, in Oakland City

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Somerville American Legion Post 462 and had attended the
St. John's United Church of Christ, in Buckskin. 

He is survived by three children, Billy Besing, of Elberfeld, Diana Seay, of Peace Valley, Mo. and Pam Simpson of Haubstadt; two sisters, Irene Siekman, of Buckskin and Mary Greer, of Evansville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be at
10 a.m. Thursday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, in Oakland City, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Church Cemetery in Buckskin.

 

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
