Kenneth Bottoms, 72, passed away Thursday Oct. 26, 2006 at the Cypress Grove Rehab Center in Newburgh, IN.

 

He was born near Oakland City, IN to Floyd and Catherine (Gentry) Bottoms.

 

He lived in the Somerville area all of his life and attended the Francisco General Baptist Church. He retired from Whirlpool Corp. as a foreman after 17 years. He also was a truck driver for N& S Trucking for 17 years and had been a farmer for most of his life. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Virl Bottoms. 

Survivors include his wife of 29 years – Peggy (Schafer) Bottoms; five children- Tim (Sue) Bottoms of Somerville, Clint Bottoms of Mackey, Jeff (Debora) Bottoms of Evansville, Troy (Amy) Miley of Somerville, Shane (Jamie Rothrock) Miley of Mackey; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two sisters; Joyce (Bob) Tepe of Oakland City and Velma (Calvin) Jones of Velpin, IN; and a sister-in-law Billie June Bottoms of Somerville. 

Funeral service will be at
2 p.m. Sunday Oct. 29, 2006 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Dr. Ora Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Somerville Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
