Mrs. Ina J. Cato, 88, of Spurgeon, passed away Friday Dec. 23, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City, IN.

 

She was born on July 19, 1917 in Spurgeon to Dello and Mary Ann Austin Dougan.

 

She was very active in the South Fork Primitive Baptist Church for almost 80 years. She was a beautician and also worked at Snyder’s Dept. Store in Winslow, IN. for several years. She also was an active member of the Spurgeon Alumni Assoc. 

She is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Jeanne and Gene Pflug of Oakland City, Shirley and David Chamness of Oakland City, Debbie and Bob Cooper of Terre Haute, IN. Eight Grandchildren, Mike Pflug, Lori Malin, Mark & Scott Chamness, Julie Roy, Jennifer Bailey, Brandon & Zac Cooper, 18 Great Grandchildren also survive. 

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Artho K. Cato in 1977, Her parents, 4 brothers , 2 sisters and an infant son, Artho K. Cato Jr. in 1951. 

Funeral Services will be at
10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the South Fork Primitive Baptist Church in Spurgeon with Elder Tim Hopper officiating. Burial will be in the Spurgeon Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Corn- Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Church.
