Nelle H. Davis, age 83, died Wednesday November 24, 2004 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.

 

She was born in Orleans, IN on March 16, 1921 to Adna L. & Pearl (Loveless) Harris. 

She graduated from
Oakland City College in 1962 and taught in both North Posey School Corp. and North Gibson School Corp. until retirement in 1983. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as both a Deacon and Elder and was active in the Women's Association. Other organizations she was involved in were: Home Ec. Club, Order of Eastern Star (65 year member), Tri-Kappa, Delta Kappa Gamma, The Tourists, PEO, and she was a Pink Lady at the Gibson General Hospital

Her parents and an infant great granddaughter preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Claude A. Davis Jr., Princeton; Son, Bruce H. Davis, Princeton; Daughters & sons-in-law, Linda & Lynn Sebring, Angola, IN.; Claudia & Dan Pear, Peru, IN.; Suzanne & Rich Rudman, West Lafayette, IN.; Grandchildren, Karen & Tony McCrumb, Anderson, IN.; Kathryn & Kevin Zeck, Hobart, IN.; Amy & Dave McMillen, Hudson, IN.; Jason Pear, Bloomington, IN.; Kate, Emily & Drew Rudman, West Lafayette, IN.; 8 Great Grandchildren and a Brother & sister-in-law, Max & Maryann Harris, Elgin, IL. 

Funeral Services will be at
10:00 AM on Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brookman officiating. Burial will be in Columbia White Church Cemetery, Princeton, IN.

 

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton. An Eastern Star memorial service will be conducted by Golden Fleece Chapter at 7:00 PM on Friday.
