George Douglas, 81, passed away on Wednesday April 12, 2006 at his home in Princeton.

George was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton and he was also a member of the Farm Bureau Inc. 

He was born on February 2, 1925 in Gibson County to John & Cora Mae (Woods) Douglas, both deceased. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Ralph Douglas; sister, Eleanor Mae Brittingham; and a great grandson, Andrew Michael Krietemeyer. 

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jane (Westfall) Douglas of Princeton; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Stephan Alan & Brenda E. Douglas of Princeton and George David Douglas of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Susan Jayne Marvel, Brian Alan Douglas, and Stephanie Earlene Douglas; 3 great grandchildren, Mollie Sue, Lucie Jo, & Silvie Ann Krietemeyer; and a niece, Anita Brittingham. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday April 15, 2006 at the Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton with the Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements, and from 12 noon until service time on Saturday at the church.
