Gary Fisher, known in some circles as "Dog", died at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 at his home in Evansville.

 

He was born Sept. 5, 1943 in Princeton

He was a technician at Sears, where he worked for 38 years. He had served in the U.S. Navy. He resided in
Evansville for the past 12 years, moving there from Princeton. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church, in Princeton. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish for bass, and crappie. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Zelma (Johnson) Fisher. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Doerner) Fisher, of Evansville; sons, Scott (Charity) Fisher, of Evansville and Todd Fisher and his special friend Becky Austin, of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughters, Hanna Fisher and Hadley Fisher; brother, Larry Fisher, of Greenwood; special friends of the family, Clancey and Samantha Smith, of Newburgh; nephews, Greg, Jeff and Eric Fisher, and Brian Doerner; niece, Angela Doerner; several great-nieces and -nephews; mother-in-law, Dorothy Doerner, of Princeton; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Larry and Linda Doerner, of Princeton, and Kevin and Jilaine Doerner, of Washington, Ind. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Phelps officiating. Final disposition will be in
Townsley Cemetery, east of Mackey. 

Friends may call at the Colvin Funeral Home, in
Princeton, from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday. VFW #1147 will conduct military graveside services on Thursday.
