Wanda Lea Gladish, 85, of Oakland City passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg.

 

She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oakland City. She graduated from O.C. High School in 1963. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Home Ec. Club in Oakland City. She was a past member of the O.C Golf Club. She was a beautiful quilter and enjoyed doing things for her children and grandchildren. 

Wanda was born on
October 26, 1922 in Pike County to John & Auda (Hedges) Clark, both preceded her in death.

 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gladish in 2005; infant daughter, Sharon Jeanne; 3 brothers, Billy, Richard & Daniel Gordon Clark; and a sister, Bonnie Corn. 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Cecile & John Caldemeyer of Arthur, Camille & Jerry Aydt of Newburgh, and Gary & Janice Gladish of Lake Winnebago, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Carolyn (Eric) Tinsley, Karen (Joe) Street, Darlene (Brian) Stevens, Jill (Mark) Carlton, Julie (Jason) Conner, Laura (Charles) Hyatt, Rachel Aydt, Christopher Gladish & Lauren, Geoffrey (Robin) Gladish, and Daniel Gladish; 11 great grandchildren, Chelsea, Kendal & Erin Tinsley, Rowland and Tura Street, Sara Woolsey, Blake Stephens, Jarrod Carlton, Whitney and Sydney Hyatt and Alison Conner; 3 sisters, Wilma Brewster of Petersburg, Helen Duncan of Charlotte, TN. and Rachael Heuring of Winslow. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 5, 2008 at 1:00 PM CDT at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City officiated by Dr. Douglas Low. Burial will be at the
Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

 

Friends may visit from 5 until 8 PM on Friday and from 8 AM until service time on Saturday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
