Edward "Ed" Kevin Goins age 51 passed away Friday Dec. 16, 2005 at his home in Princeton.

 

He was born Feb. 22, 1954 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Murrey Kenneth and Elsie (Jones) Goins Morse.

 

He attended elementary school at Baldwin Heights and graduated from Princeton Community High School in May 1972. He had lived in the Princeton area all of his life. 

Ed was a pipe fitter for Union Local 669 since 1974 and had been superintendent for many jobs. He was awarded the Employee of the Month award for the Fire Department Division of Hussang Mechanical in April 2004. He had worked as foreman on many construction projects including,
Bowling Green Medical Center, Hills Pet Nutrition, Lexington Clinic, Caesars Hotel, Louisville Bedding, and Roberts Stadium in Evansville. He had consistently demonstrated excellent work quality and willingness to go the extra mile on every job he was involved with. He attended Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church in Lyles Station. 

He is survived by his mother; Elsie Goins Morse, step-father, Willie Morse, both of Princeton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Jonathan Walden, Princeton; and Angela Kimbrew, Evansville, one nephew Kent Edward Walden, three nieces Andrea, Kendra and Kayla Kimbrew, and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Murrey Kenneth Goins in 1991. 

Funeral Services will be
1 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 21, 2005 at the Colvin Funeral Home with the Rev. Edmond Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Sand Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday Dec. 20th from 4 until 8 p.m.
