Joyce L. (Grimes) Hardiman, 69, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at her home in Princeton.

 

She graduated in 1956 from Lincoln High School and was employed as a teacher’s aide for CAPE Head Start in Princeton. She thoroughly loved her job and the children she cared for. She also worked as a PBX operator for the Catholic Diocese of Evansville for 20 plus years. An ordained minister of the Gospel, Joyce loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, body and spirit and shared the Good News of Jesus everywhere and with everyone she met. She ministered in service at the Word of Faith, Oasis Assembly of God, and Flame. 

Joyce was born March 24, 1938 to the late Andrew "Red" Grimes and Erma Grimes Gray.

 

She was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers, David Grimes and Rev. Joseph Grimes; and 1 sister Ann Dillard. 

She is survived by her husband, Edgar Hardiman; daughter & son-in-law, Karen (Darrell) Ragland of Evansville; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Michael H. (Nida) Hardiman of Los Angeles, CA. and Mark D. (Brenda) Hardiman of Princeton; grandchildren and spouses, Darrell Ragland Jr., Channelle Ragland, David (Annie) Ragland, Brandon (Sadia) Ragland, Michael Jr., James, Michelle, Brittaney, Blake & Brandey Hardiman; great grandchildren, DaShaun, Jazmine & Maya Ragland and Drake Hardin; brother, Kenneth Grimes of Evansville; sister, Barbara Byrd of Cincinnati, OH; several nieces and nephews 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Oasis Assembly of God Church, 1104 South Stout St., Princeton, IN with the Pastor Mike Marsh officiating. Burial will be at the
Sand Hill Cemetery.

 

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton
