Edward E. Hale, 93, of Princeton, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004 at Gibson General Hospital, in Princeton.

 

He was born Oct. 31, 1911 in Gibson County

He lived in
Princeton for over 40 years, moving there from the Mt. Olympus and Oatsville communities. He worked in the oil fields for several years and retired from Hansen's Manufacturing in 1978. He was a member of the Patoka United Methodist Church

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Polly (Hunt) Hale; his first wife, Anna Mae Hale, in 1975; several brothers and sisters; and three stepchildren, Melvin Robb, Rick Robb and Joan Whetstone. 

He is survived by his wife Olive (Goldman) Robb Hale; a daughter, Jeanella Kolb, of Princeton; three sons, Jack Hale, of Oakland City, Jerry Hale, of Michigan and John Hale, of Arizona; six stepchildren, Phyllis Dillard, Carolyn Downs, Carl (Buck) Robb, all of Princeton, James Robb, of Dale, Sandra Leister, of Owensville and Kathy Schmidt, of Princeton; a brother, Arthur Hale, of Princeton; and a sister, Beulah Eastman, of Michigan. 

Funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Final disposition will be at Atkinson Chapel Cemetery.
