Blythe Helsley age 92 of Oakland City died Thursday morning Oct. 11, 2007 at his home.

 

He was born in Pike County, IN to Emery and Laura (Gears) Helsley.

 

He was a retired carpenter had worked at Kings Mine in Princeton for ten years. He had lived in Oakland City most of his life and was a member of the Church of Christ in Oakland City.

Blythe is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years Helen, a son Ronald G. Helsley,
Aaron, KY, ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Robert L. Helsley in 1993, David Helsley in 2003, a grandson Eugene, 3 brothers, 1 half-brother, and four sisters 

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday Oct. 15, 2007 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Bro. George Fiscus officiating, burial will follow in the Townsley Cemetery in Mackey.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until service on Monday at the funeral home.
