Guinevere L. Hurst, 74 went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening Jan. 3, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN.

 

She was born in Gibson County May 4, 1933 to Arthur S. and Marie (Wells) Jones.

 

She was a homemaker and had lived in Princeton most of her lifetime moving here from Wheeling. She graduated from Mt. Olympus High School and had attended Oasis Assembly of God in Princeton

Guinevere is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Chuck and Kathy Hurst, Draysden, MD, Larry Joe and Lori Hurst, Princeton, Bob and Colleene Hurst, Norfolk, VA, three daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Larry Scott, Princeton, Lora "Pug" and Kim Land, Ft. Branch, and Suzie Sheldon, Evansville. She had eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur S. Jones and Marie Jones Rainey, her husband Jimmie Don Hurst, son Ric Hurst, half brother Teddy Jones, step-sister Jean Myrick and step-brother, Don Rainey. 

Funeral Services will be
2 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 8, 2008 at the Colvin Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Decker Cemetery in rural Patoka.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday.
