Mr. Arthur Jeide, 88, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in OaklandCity.
He was born in Buckskin, Ind.,
to John and Augusta KleimanJeide,
but had lived in Mackey since 1941.
He was a member of the MackeySalemUnitedMethodistChurch, where he served as a trustee and youth counselor for
many years. He was a WWII Army veteran, serving in the Pacific area with the
312th Bomb Group, where he earned the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member
of the Somerville American Legion. He was the owner operator of the Jeide Feed Mill in Mackey and was a BartonTownship school bus driver. He also was a cross-country truck
driver and a farmer. He was on the board of directors for Pike Gibson Water.
His wife of 63 years, Mata, passed away on February 13, 2005.
Also preceded him in death were his parents, 2
sisters, Mildred Morris and Mabel Kramer, and a brother, Russell Jeide.
He is survived by 22 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Wednesday at the MackeySalemUnitedMethodistChurch, the Rev. Matt Malin
officiating, burial in AlbrightCemetery.
