Lena M. Johnson, 93 of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at The Waters in Princeton.

 

She was born in Pike Co, Indiana on December 23, 1914 to George and Minnie (Reed) McNew

She was a member of the
Church of Christ in Oakland City, the Daughters of Rebekah, Sonshine Club and the Thursday Club. 

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Judy and Lindel Hume, Princeton; daughter-in-law Gloria Johnson, Illinois; 2 sons William Johnson, Princeton and Jerry Johnson, Evansville; 4 grandchildren, Ted E. Johnson, II, Florida, Steven Johnson, Illinois, Thomas R. Hume, Princeton and Deborah K. Hume Beck, Princeton; 14 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Johnson in 1995; son, Ted; granddaughter, Diane Velak and all of her brothers and sisters. 

Private graveside services will be held. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home at
323 North Main Street, Oakland City is handling the arrangements.  (She was buried at Montgomery Cemetery.)
