Dorothy Nell Linville Kroeger, 63, died July 11, 2008, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, IN. 

Dorothy (Dottie) Kroeger was born October 5, 1944, in Dawson Springs, KY, to Ellis David and Vaden (Slygh) Linville. 

She married Stephen Douglas Kroeger on August 2, 1961, in Shawneetown, IL. 

Dottie was a loving mother, devoted mother and caring sister. She cared and prayed for many. 

Dottie’s generosity, humor and kind heart were an inspiration to family and friends. Her generosity continues by her act of giving life to others through organ donation. 

Dottie also wrote poetry and was published. Education was so important to Dottie that she completed her GED later in life at Pike County High School. 

She is survived by husband, Steve Kroeger; daughter, Jayne Kroeger Tang; son, David Kroeger; son-in-law, David Tang; daughter-in-law, Renea Kroeger; grandchildren, Melanie Kroeger, Allison Kroeger, Dana Tang, Jonathan Kroeger, Nathaniel Tang; brother, David Linville; sister, Doris Collins; and many nieces and nephews. 

Dottie was preceded in death by her father, Ellis; mother, Vaden; and her sister, Rebekah. 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John’s Church of Buckskin, IN.
