Geneva M. Lanman, 87 of Princeton, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville after a lengthy illness.

She was a member of the Broadway Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also loved and endeared by members of the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Indiana Omega Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and had perfect attendance for 35 years. She also was a member of the Green Thumb Garden Club, American Legion Post #25 Ladies Aux., VFW #1147 Ladies Aux., and the Lady Elks. Geneva had the distinction of being the first female postal worker in Princeton from where she retired in 1986. She loved her flowers and playing her organ. 

She was born in Greenville, Missouri on May 29, 1920 to Clara & Harry Seabaugh who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Christine Miller and a great grandson, Alvin Lee Roberson. 

Geneva is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Richard & Becky Roberson and Ben & Mary Lanman both of Princeton; 2 grandson, Richard Alan Roberson and Josh Lanman; 6 great grandsons; 2 sisters, Betty (Walter) McDermott of Princeton and Shirley Schaefer of Evansville; 1 brother, Howard Seabaugh of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor George Prinzing and Rev. John Dunn officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may visit from 4 until 8 P.M. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
