Owen "Nig" Loveless, 83, died Monday (14 Feb 2005) at the Jasper Memorial Hospital, in Jasper. 

He was a coal miner and retired from Old Ben Coal Co. in 1985. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a lifetime resident of the Glezen area and attended
Anderson Chapel General Baptist Church

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ivel and Rena Street Loveless, and a sister, Bonnie Mae Clark. 

He is survived by his wife, Garnette Charles Loveless; children, Lora Hurst, Rodney Loveless, Alethea Dedrick and Owen C. Loveless, all of Glezen; two sisters, Jean DeJarnett, of Evansville and Marietta Hawkins, of Glezen; a brother, Tom Loveless, of Petersburg; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. 

Funeral services will be at
1 p.m. Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, in Oakland City, with the Rev. Keith Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, in Petersburg.

 

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until service time Friday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
