Opal J. Luff age 86 passed away Monday Jan. 14, 2008 at the Petersburg Health Care Center in Petersburg.

She was born Dec. 13, 1921 in Warrick Co., IN to Forest and Lula (Hodge) Cannon.

She had lived in Oakland City the past 13 years moving there from Spurgeon, IN. 

Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard L. Luff on Nov. 9, 2007 to whom she was married for over 60 years. Also preceding her were seven brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Rita and David Williams, Spurgeon, and son, Steve Luff, Sunrise, Fl., two grandchildren, Beth Bohnert and Bruce Williams, three great grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob and Natalie Bohnert..

Funeral Services will be held at the graveside at the Spurgeon Cemetery 10 a.m. Thursday CST Jan. 17, 2008 with Pastor Honna Schloss officiating, burial will follow.

There will be no visitation. Corn Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City is in charge of the arrangements.
