Malvern Ray Frederick, 67, of Portland TN, formally of Fort Branch IN went home to be with the lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2006 at his home in Portland TN.

 

Malvern was born March 13, 1938 in Pike County, IN to the late Harold and Daisy (Wood) Frederick.

 

He is a retired coal miner having worked at Old Ben #2.  He was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 4343 and The Hosanna Church of Portland Tennessee.

 

Beside his parents Malvern is preceded in death by a sister Cheryl Terroiak and 2 brothers Eldon and Herman Frederick.

 

Malvern is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gay (Southwood) Frederick of Portland TN 3 children and their spouses Alesia and Steve Taylor of Princeton IN, Michael of Mechanicsville VA, and Deann and Kenny Resler of Portland TN and 3 step-children Maury and Chris Will of Haubstadt IN, Dawn and Jerry Dalton of Arlington Texas and Missy Will of Spring TX , 6 brothers Gene Frederick of Hazelton, IN, Ron Frederick of New Mexico, Charles “Muggs” Frederick of Princeton IN, Lynn Frederick of Kokomo IN, Monte Frederick of Princeton, IN, Kevin Frederick of Hazelton IN and 3 sisters Kathryn Stewart of Vincennes IN, Mabel Adkins of Hazelton IN Glenda Jolly of Princeton IN and Diana Flushe of Delaware; 6 Grandchildren: Kelsie, Kyle, Tori, Baylie, Dominique and Laura, several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Stodghill Funeral Home, with Rev. Dave Warren officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch IN.

 

Visitation for Malvern will be on Saturday, January 14th, 2006 at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M and on Sunday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.

 

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday January 22nd in Portland TN.
