Viola M. Graper, 94, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2003 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton IN.

 

She was born on May 19, 1909 in Fort Branch, IN to the late William E. Kuester and Anna (Hasselbrink) Kuester.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband George in 1988; a son Jerry in 1988; a granddaughter Becky Schuessler in 1969; and 4 brothers: Elmer, Earl, Raymond and Darvin.

 

She was a lifelong member of St Lucas United Church of Christ, an avid quilter and for many years was active in The Womens Guild and Sunday School as a Teacher.

 

She is Survived by a son Donald and Evelyn Graper of Princeton, IN; 3 daughters Georgia Ann and Bob Schuessler of Fort Branch, IN, Wanda Mae Anderson of Fort Branch, IN and Janice and Mel Menke of Huntingburg IN; 2 sisters, Velma Kruse of Fort Branch, IN and Verda Kruse of Fort Branch, IN; 1 sister-in-law Velma Kuester of Fort Branch, IN; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

 

Services for Viola will be conducted on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at The St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch with Rev. Jeanne Johnston will officiate; burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

 

Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, January 1, 2004 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch and 9:00 a.m. till service time at the Church on Friday.
