Estelle June Kifer, 96, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Nov. 20th 2005 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.

 

June was born June 28th, 1909 in Oakland City IN, to the late Joseph and Mary (Henson) Pearson.

 

She she was a retired school teacher having taught in for various schools in the Vanderburgh and Gibson school Corp’s, retiring in 1969 after teaching for 27 years. She was also a member of A.A.R.P., the Home Ec. Club, The Gibson County Retired Teachers Association, and was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church.

 

Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Otis Kifer on April 3rd, 1981, 2 step-daughters, Roslyn June Ricketts and Dorothea Arnold, a Son, Richard Lee Kifer, and a brother, and 5 sisters.

 

June is survived by 2 sons, Wm Ray Kifer of Princeton, IN, and Stephen J. Kifer of Prosper, TX, 5 Grandchildren, Todd Kifer, Darla Hinkel, Rachelle Kifer, Annette Lynn Collins, and Captain Stephen R. Kifer. 7 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 20 step great-grandchildren.

 

Services for June will be on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd at 2:00 P.M. at the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church, Reverend John Windell will officiate, burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.

 

Friends may call for visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, 2005 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church at 100 S. Vine St. in Fort Branch
