Anthony L McKimmy, 62, of Fort Branch IN died due to injuries from a motorcycle accident on October 1, 2008 in Evansville IN.

 

He was born June 3, 1946 to the late Charles L and Mary L (Yeager) McKimmy in Princeton IN.

 

He was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church, a Vietnam War Veteran having served in the US Navy for 10 yrs. He was a member of the Princeton American Legion Post #25, he had his schooling at U of E graduating in 1981 with an Engineering Degree.  He was retired from Whirlpool after 26 yrs as an Electrical Engineer.  He was an assistant Coach for Soccer at Gibson Southern High School when it first started.

 

He is survived by his wife of 39 yrs Linda (Sollman) McKimmy, a son Brian Anthony (Keri) McKimmy and a daughter Laura Marie (Dusty) Smith of Evansville. 3 sisters LeAnn (Nels) Johnson, Princeton IN, Sister Mary Veronica (Maria) McKimmy, Whitesville Ky, Anna Lee (Bryan) McElravey of IL; one grandchild Sawyer Brian McKimmy; brother and sister in law Dennis & Lynn Sollman; and 8 nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by one daughter Meredith Lynn McKimmy.

 

Services for Tony will be Monday October 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch. Reverends Dr James Cramer and Tarrell Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort branch military services to be conducted by VFW Post 2714 and American Legion Post 194.

 

Visitation will on Sunday October 5, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
