Betty R. Shoemaker, 63, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Saturday, Mar. 22, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born on July 28, 1944 in Fort Branch, IN to the late George and Gladys (Reed) Odom, and has resided here most of her life.

Betty was a member of the Fort Branch General Baptist Church. She had worked as a convenience store manager for 17 years, she had also taught school in the South Gibson School Corporation. She was involved with the Lord’s Pantry, and her church, where she worked with the church Sunday School.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Shoemaker of Fort Branch; her son and daughter in-law, Mike and Miranda Shoemaker of Evansville; 2 sisters and a brother, Nancy Fravel of Liberty, MO, Mildred M. Dike of Mt. Vernon, IN, and Dennis R. Odom of Fort Branch, IN.

Services for Betty will be on Saturday, March, 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Reverend Steve Akins will officiate.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
