Clarence E.( Buggy Whip) Taylor passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004 at his residence in Fort Branch. He was 72 years old.

 

He was born to the late Elmer A. and Kitty B. (Seamon) Taylor on May 21, 1932 in Perry County, IN.

 

Buggy Whip served with the U.S, Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Mt. Carmel VFW. He was retired from Emge Meat Packing, where he worked as a truck driver.

 

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Cletus and Henry O. Taylor.

 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty J. (Goffinet) Taylor and their 3 children, David Taylor of Sherman Texas, Cheryl A. Taylor of Haubstadt, IN, and Tom Taylor of Fort Branch, IN; 4 grandchildren, Jamie Thompson, Anthony Baker, Jon Taylor, and Jennifer Taylor; and 2 great grandchildren, Alicia Taylor, and Breann Thompson.

 

Services for Buggy Whip will be conducted on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 west in Fort Branch, IN, Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery also in Fort Branch with Allen Goffinet presiding.

 

Visitation will be on Monday, November 8, 2004 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Fort Branch VFW post 2714.
