David C. Ziliak, 61, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 after a long illness.

 

Dave was born to Cletus and Ernestine (Fellar) Ziliak on Aug. 19, 1945 in Daylight, IN.

 

He was a farmer and is a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN, the Evansville Owls Club, and The Princeton Eagles. He loved to dance and farm.

 

He is preceded in death by his father Cletus Ziliak and a son, Charles Ziliak in 1983.

 

Dave is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dolores (Weber) Ziliak; a son and his spouse, Melvin R. (Terri) Ziliak of Fort Branch, IN; his mother, Ernestine Ziliak of Evansville, IN; 7 brothers and sisters, Beverly Bittner of Evansville, IN, Vaughn Ziliak of Elberfeld, IN, Brenda Cross of Evansville, IN, Lloyd Ziliak of Evansville, IN, Karen Mutschler of Elberfeld, IN, Jamie Ziliak of Haubstadt, IN, and Loriann Stewart of Newburgh, IN; 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Jennifer, Andrew, and Caleb Ziliak.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 10:00 A.M., Fathers John Silva, and Tony Ernst, and Deacon Steve Hall will be the celebrants, burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 8, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish on Sunday Evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the VNA Hospice for their care and especially Wendi.
