Shirley A. Allen, 74, of Fort Branch, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Born June 14, 1934, in Gibson Co., she was the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Landis) Fougnies.

She is a member of the Fort Branch General Baptist Church and the Evansville Iron Street Rod Club since 1974. 

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles W. Allen; daughter, Jennifer (Allen) (Rob) Fournier of Mt. Carmel, Ill.; brothers, Bob Fougnies of Indianapolis, Eugene Fougnies of Fort Branch, Bill Fougnies of Princeton,; sister, Gerry Davis of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Kyle and Nikolas Busch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Fougnies; and sisters, Betty Louise Fougnies, and Phyllis Reed.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with the Rev. Tammy Scheller and Rev. Steve Akins officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and again from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday.
