Donald N. "Cuz" Besing, 77, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

 

Don was born March 18, 1931 in Evansville.

 

Most of his professional career was spent as a truck driver and retired from N&S Trucking in 1996. In his retirement years, Don was a fixture at local restaurants where he so enjoyed having coffee and trading stories with his many friends. Don was a member of St. John's Church of Buckskin. 

Surviving family members include 2 sons, Michael Besing of Somerville and Larry Don Besing of Hatfield, IN; 1 daughter, Kathy Jenkins of Mackey, IN; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Rhoton, Christopher Besing, Debbie Besing and Andrew Besing; 5 great grandchildren; 1 step-son, Darren Weatherford of Evansville; 1 step-granddaughter, Majessica; 3 brothers, Jerry Ray Besing, Larry Paul Besing and Jimmy Besing; 1 sister, Doris Campbell. 

Don was preceded in death by wife, Doris and wife, Diann; parents, Norman and Thelma Besing; a sister, Norma Lee Wallace. 

Funral services will be held at
11 A.M. Friday, January 30, 2009 at St. John's Church in Buckskin, officiated by Rev. Frank Sapp.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 P.M. Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and again from 9 A.M. until the service hour at the church on Friday. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
