Terry Nicolas Brooks, 29, of Mt. Carmel, Ill., passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 in Wabash County, Ill.

Born Dec. 21, 1979 in Princeton, he was the son of Terry Ray and Mickey (Blocksom) Brooks of Owensville.

He married Teresa B. Brooks on June 15, 2006 in Mt. Carmel, Ill.

He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton. He was a construction laborer and worked for Performance Plus in Mt. Carmel.

Survivors include by his wife, Teresa; his parents; children Cameron Vessels and Raigan Ann Nicole Brooks of Mt. Carmel; two sisters, Amanda (Steve) Stuckey of Patoka, Emily (Brian) Deputy of Evansville; in-laws, Charles and Marie Windle of Mt. Carmel; grandmother, Carolyn Brooks of Terre Haute; great- grandmother, Mary Brooks of Hymera; and nephews Lance Stuckey, Kyle Stuckey, and Tucker Deputy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Howard Blocksom; and grandfather Lee Brooks, Sr.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at the chapel of Short Funeral Home. Cremation will follow with a family burial service in Friendsville Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
