Garland Lynn Bruce, 53, of Petersburg passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn; mother, Mary Bruce; children, Jarreth Bruce, Mary Bruce; stepchildren, Josh Harper, Jason and David Hammock, Jason Williams, Justin Williams, Jessica Williams; brothers, Donnie, George, Richard, Michael and Kevin Bruce; sisters, Betty Young, Gloria Morgan, Rebecca Houchin, Carol Kell, Yvonne Poteet; two grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, George Bruce; sister, Joan Stormont; and son, Garrett.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 (eastern) at Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. (eastern) Friday at the funeral home.

There will also be a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. (CDT) Saturday at First Pentecost Church in Oakland City
