Dorothy Jean Dearing, 82 of Winslow, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg, IN.
She was a member of the River
of Life Fellowship Church in PikeCounty. She was a teacher for 39 years in grade school in
Winslow and also at Pike Central for a few of those years. She was a member of
the Indiana State Teachers Assoc., National Education Assoc., and Pike County
She was born July 3, 1927 in Winslow to Nobel P. & Lucille (Brewster) Dearing, both
Dorothy is survived by her cousins, Larry (Donna) Dearing of Boonville, Darrell
(Sue) Dearing of Greenwood, IN, Dewey (Betty) Dearing of Ft. Branch, and Vonetta Beck of BalboaIsland, CA.; and a special
caregiver, Cindy Terwiske.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 28, 2009 at at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in OaklandCity. Burial will be at the OakHillCemetery in Winslow.
