Gerald Thomas Greer Sr., 65, passed away Monday Feb. 2, 2009 at home in rural Princeton

He was born
Dec. 15, 1943 in Princeton to Norman Elmo and Marie (Turner) Greer.  

He was a farmer in the rural
Princeton area where he lived all of his life.  He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and especially his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Lyles Station Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church

Gerald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lora (Joiner) Greer, two sons, Gerald Thomas Greer Jr., Matthew Thomas Greer, both of Princeton; daughter, Lisa (Vaughn) Robinson of Evansville; brother, Norman (Doris) Greer of Princeton; sister, Viola (Kale) Clardy of Princeton; three grandchildren, Camie Marie Greer, Genesis Nicole, Kennedie Nicole Robinson; special friend, Robert Beadles; and several nieces nephews and cousins.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis and Willie Greer; and sister, Pauline Paris.

 Funeral services will be at
1 p.m. Friday Feb. 6, 2009 at Colvin Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen McClendon officiating.  Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery

Visitation will be from
10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
