Doris M. Helm age 82 of Princeton passed away Tuesday Feb. 3, 2009 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born in Pike County, IN Oct. 26, 1926 to Herman Ross and Maude (Krieg) Knight. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Helm Excavating in Princeton. 

Doris had lived in Princeton for the past 62 years moving here from Pike Co. She attended the Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton, and was a member of Eagles and V.F.W Ladies Auxiliaries. She enjoyed collecting Teddy Bears, enjoyed camping and sewing. 

She is survived by a brother, Warner Knight of Evansville and several nieces and nephews. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Shelby Helm in 1975, three brothers: Kurt, Paul and Frank Knight, two sisters: Agnes Jewell and Ruth Martin. 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 at the Colvin Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery near Oatsville, IN.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
