Norman L. Kruse, 77, of Mt. Carmel, Ill. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 at home.

Born March 6, 1931 in Wabash County, he was the son of Karl C. and Esther M. (Weisenberger) Kruse.

He married Glenna R. Muncy on May 12, 1956 in Keensburg, Ill.; she preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 1993.

Mr. Kruse worked in maintenance for Potter & Brumfield for 30 years, also during that time he worked for many area farmers. After retirement, he worked as security for PSI.

He was a member of the First Apostolic Church. He also served in the United States Army.

Survivors include by his children, Stanley E. (Cindy) Kruse, Kevin L. (Angie) Kruse, Margaret A. Kruse, all of Mt. Carmel; sister, Carolyn J. Kruse of Mt. Carmel; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
