Arvis Jerry Mason Jr., 54 of Sumner, Ill., passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at Good Samaraitan Hospital in Vincennes.

Born Oct. 5, 1954 in Princeton, he was the son of Arvis Jerry and Virginia (Goldman) Mason.

He married Deborah Bonesteel Oct. 5, 1983.

He was a farmer and vice president of A.J. Mason, Inc. in Hutsonville, Ill. He was a childhood member of Heights Chapel Church in Princeton.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia (Goldman) Mason of Hutsonville, Ill.; wife, Deborah (Bonesteel) Mason of Sumner, Ill.; son, Lafe Mason of Sumner, Ill.; brother, Benny Mason of Hutsonville, Ill.; brothers-in-law, Donnie (Lois) Bonesteel of Hutsonville, Ill., Eddie (Lois) Bonesteel of Flat Rock, Ill.; sisters, Rena Smith of Hutsonville, Ill., Gina (Tony) Brian of Hutsonville, Ill.; sister-in-law, Rhonda Bonesteel of West Union, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at Silvert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Ill. Burial will be in Decker Cemetery in Patoka.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
