Lillian Marie (Kunkel) Stermer, 91 of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

She was born
April 21, 1917 in Haubstadt to Arba and Louise Stewart.

Lillian was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Princeton. She was also a member of the Eagles, VFW and the Homemakers EC Club.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth S. and Judy Kunkel of Highland, Ill.; grandsons and their wives, Kenneth S. and Sharon Kunkel of Wildwood, Mo., Steve and Terri Kunkel of Galesburg, Mich., David and Gail Kunkel of Shiloh, Ill.; granddaughter and her husband, Kelly and Brian Hulvey of Highland, Ill.; eight great- grandchildren, Kyle Kunkel, Ben Kunkel, Bryan Kunkel, Madison Kunkel, Chandler Hulvey, Brady Kunkel, Travis Kunkel, Drew Hulvey; and cousin, Norma Jean Doerner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clarence A. Kunkel in 1973; her second husband, Charles B. Stermer on
May 4, 2001; and sisters, Kathryn Hughes and Dorothy Joest.

Funeral services will be at
10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Ron Zgunda officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may visit from
5-8 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
