Joyce Helen Turpin, 88, of Mt. Olympus, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at home.

Born
Sept. 22, 1920 in Gyro, she was the daughter of Adolph Isaac and Ethel Pearl (Decker) Dunn.

She married Calvin Edward Turpin Nov. of 1939.

She was a life-long resident of
Mt. Olympus. She was employed in food services at North Gibson School Corp, at Princeton Community Middle School. She was a member of the Mt Olive United Methodist Church in Mt. Olympus and the Crusaders Sunday school class at the church

Survivors include
sons, Larry (Janice Kay) Turpin of Patoka, Donald (Lillian) Turpin of Dresden, Tenn.; sister, Violet Burkhart of Giro; six grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Calvin Edward Turpin in 2002.

Funeral services will be at
noon Friday Feb. 6, 2009 at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St. Princeton, with Pastor Gary Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus.

 

 

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
