Isaac Scott Watson, 8, of Oakland City, formerly of Evansville, was welcomed into heaven on Saturday, June 13, 2009. He passed away at 1:44 a.m. at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness.

Isaac participated in a number of community activities including Kindermusik, UE Suzuki Violin, therapy at the
Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, church activities at East Gate Bible Church, family ministry on Sunday mornings at Angel River Health Care, and he was an avid UE Aces Men’s basketball fan. He also loved participating in SMILE on Down Syndrome and the annual Buddy Walk.

Isaac will be remembered as a sunbeam who brightened the hearts of all with whom he came in contact.

Survivors include by his parents Scott and Barbara Watson; brother, Nathan; sister, Abigail, both at home; grandparents Mrs. Judy Phillips of Oakland City, Pastor and Mrs. Gary Watson of Evansville; aunts and uncles, Robin and Roger Sermersheim of Oakland City, Greg and Sunita Watson of Nashville, Tenn., Trissa and Jeff Lucht of Kansas City, Mo., Jennifer and Tim Verrette of St. Louis, Mo., Kim and Dan Housley of Springfield, Ill.; 15 cousins; and many other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Jerry W. Phillips; and great-grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Lawrence A. Black.

Funeral services will be at
10 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Bethel Temple Community Church, 4400 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, with Pastor Glenn Bohlen and Pastor Gary Watson officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

Visitation will be
2-8 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
