Mrs. Carolyn Ann (Waller) Barnard, 76, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at the Mercy San Juan Hospital in Sacramento, Calif. 

She was born Aug. 18, 1934 in Oakland City to Charles and Edna (Risley) Waller. 

She and Kenneth Barnard were married Dec. 27, 1957.  She was a Rainbow girl and a graduate of Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique.  She was a homemaker and attended Capital Christian Center in Sacramento, where she led a Bible study home group for many years.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Eldon Barnard; two children and their spouses, Eva and John Lisle of Sacramento, Calif., Evan and Cindy Barnard of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Phyllis Strunk of Princeton; sisters-in law, Joan Waller and Betty (Barnard) Risley both of Oakland City; brothers-in-law, Bill Barnard, of Tucson, Ariz., Ellis Truitt of Oakland City; five grandchildren, Savannah,  Madison Lisle and Justin, Jordan and Heather Barnard; nieces and nephews, Cherissa and Larry Williams, Deborah Talbert, Chuck and Sheila Strunk, Anita and David Walters, Greg and Pam Barnard and family, Marc and Elaine Waller and family, Renee and Royce Haws and family, Lisa and Richard Clark, Sheila and Gale Cross and family, Charles Barnard; and her beloved Corgis, Matilda and Rugby.

She joins in eternity her parents, Charles and Edna (Risley) Waller; her sister, Mary Gene Truitt; her brother, William Waller; her brother-in-law, Barney Barnard; and her nephew, Brett Barnard.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
