William “Bill” Burns, 55, of Charlotte N.C., passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at home. 

Born Aug. 29, 1955, he was the son of Harold Burns and Alice Stoops-Burns.

He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Charlotte.  He also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his two sisters, Sheila Forman of Castroville, Texas, Pat Pierce of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Tom Burns of Poplar Bluff, Mo.;  and many aunts, uncles and cousins from Indiana. 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5,  2011 at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 S. Main St., Princeton with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
