Kathryn Fern Harvey, 95 of Magnolia, Arkansas formerly of Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Magnolia, Arkansas.


She was born on
October 29, 1915 at the old family home near Union, Indiana to the only child of Gardner and Flora Grubb.

She was a member of the Mt. Tabor General Baptist Church for 82 years, which made her one of the longest members of that church. She was also one of the last Union High School students at her time of attending there. Ms. Harvey played the steel guitar, loved nature, music, poetry and literature.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, James Robert Harvey; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.


She is survived by her three children, Robert Wayne Harvey and his wife Henriette of Jacksonville, Florida, Richard Harvey of
Elcajon, California, and Gwendolyn Gay Shore and her husband, Doyle of Magnolia, Arkansas; and numerous grandchildren, great grand children, and great great grandchildren. There are five generations in each of her children’s family.


Funeral services will be on
Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Indiana, officiated by Rev. Wayne Rowland.

Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm until service time on Friday. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Pike County, Indiana.
