William H. “Bill” Stone, 71, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011

He was born Aug. 15, 1939. He worked many years as a teacher and coach for North Gibson School Corp.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Henrietta (Michel) Stone; three sons, Brad (Lynnette) of Elmwood, Ill., Brian (Karen), of Franklin, Wis., Kent (Julie) of Mooresville; sisters, Mabel Rainey of Owensboro, Ky., Roberta Pugh of Foley, Ala., Rowena (Jim) Armstrong of Foley, Ala.; brothers, Bob (Shelby) Stone of Franklin, Ky., Paul (Mary Ann) Stone of Bowling Green, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Pat Stone, of Princeton, Donna (Randy) Atkinson, brother-in-law, Bob (Mical) Michel; grandchildren, Lyndsay, Ryan, Sean, Liam, Megan and Abby Stone; and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Lana; his parents; Robert and Augusta Stone; in-laws, Henry and Mildred Michel; brothers, Gouge Stone, Don Stone; and a sister, Delphia Mae Bishop.

 Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at Decker Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Jim Cramer officiating.
