Virginia L. Harris, 83, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at The Waters of Princeton. 

She was born April 27, 1927 in Princeton to Edward and Madeline (May) Tucker. 

She was a homemaker and lived in the Princeton community except for living in Springfield, Ohio from 1960-89.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 64 years, William Harris of Princeton; two sons, Vincent (Josephine) Harris, Douglas (Erma) Harris; a daughter, Alicia Gilbert all of Springfield, Ohio; a sister, Betty L. Gordon of Princeton; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; ; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special niece and caregiver, Tonja Khan of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Deborah Florence Harris,  Bruce Wayne Harris; a grandson, Rodney E. Harris; a sister, Nancy Walden; and four brothers, John Henry Tucker, Edward Tucker, Jr., Tommie Tucker and Wesley Tucker.

 Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Jay Houder officiating.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. 

Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
