William “Bill” Glen Dilbeck, 82, of Bellmont, Ill., passed away  Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Ill.

Born June 10, 1928 in Fort Branch, he was the son of Herbert and Cecil (Hart) Dilbeck.

He married Ruby Harmon on April 3, 1948 at General Baptist Church, Fort Branch.

Bill was a member of Bellmont United Methodist Church. He worked for Champion Laboratory in Albion, Ill. as a safety coordinator for many years. Bill was an avid carpenter as he was well known for his porch swings. He loved to play guitar and to fish on the river with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Dilbeck; son, Danny (Robin) Dilbeck of Plainfield; daughter, Carla (Kevin) Keepes of Mt. Carmel Ill.; grandchildren, Shawn D. (Jayla) Dilbeck, Derek (Megan) Prosise, Nick (Amber) Dilbeck, Vanessa (Brandon) Dilbeck, Tyler (Kaleigh Peach) Prosise, Kristen Tyner, Madyson Keepes, Victoria Dilbeck; great grandchildren, Tucker Dilbeck, Taylor Dilbeck, Tessa Dilbeck, Haleigh Prosise, Mason Dilbeck, Hunter Dilbeck, Brianna Dilbeck, Danica Morrison, Jillian Morrison, Cason Morrison; brother, Richard Dilbeck; sisters, Frances Sollman, Becky Corne, Brenitta Gwaltney, Nancy Reeves; and daughter-in-law, Linda Pritchard

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Cecil Dilbeck; and son, Timothy Glenn Dilbeck.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the chapel of Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Fort Branch.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Short Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel.
